Fall has always been my favorite season! The cooler weather, the leaves changing color. It also means fall family events to attend!
Each year, we like to get outdoors and do as many fall family events that we can! And being that we are on the East Valley side, we thought it would be good to share our favorites with you!
MacDonald’s Ranch in Scottsdale runs the entire month of October from 9am to 6pm (closed on Tuesdays).
The admission is $10.00 per person during the week and $12 on the weekends. Children 23 months and younger are free, and they do allow same day entry. (There are discounts available as well – be sure to check out the website!)
Admission includes the petting zoo, panning for gold, hay-bale maze, pedal car and track for the kids, photo area, and lawn games. There is an additional charge for pony rides (ages 10 and under), main train, barrel train, feeding the petting zoo animals, mechanical bull, food and snacks, and pumpkins.
Be sure to wear your costume on Halloween and bring a goodie bag for the kids to Trick or Treat!

Schnepf Farms: Starting October 1, and through the entire month of October, Schnepf Farms Pumpkin and Chili Party will be happening!
The Pumpkin and Chili Party are Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and has a cost for admission.
Tickets need to be purchased for general admission, as well as for the train rides, Haunted Bus, food and pumpkins. (Kids 2 and under are free!)
There is plenty to do:

Vertuccio Farms: I think this one is by far my favorite place to visit every fall. I don’t think we have missed going to Vertuccio Farms in the past several years (except last year because ya know, the ‘vid).
Beginning October 1st through the end of October, Vertuccio Farms is open 7 days a week (and I have to mention that they also have a cute little ‘store’ on property that is open year round that offers great produce!)
Vertuccio Farms Corn Maze and Fall Festival is paid admission (2 years and younger are free) with a ton of fun things to do for the whole family. (Be sure to check their website for discounts!)
Admission includes 5 acre corn maze; mini golf; giant jump pad; giant tube roll; extreme air pillow; giant tube slide; pallet maze; spider-web climb; duck races; 1 barrel train ride; animal area; pumpkin bowling; and a new interactive petting zoo.
Snacks and drinks are available for purchase, and pumpkins are priced on size.
Vertuccio Farms is another dusty place and remember to protect yourself from the mosquitoes if you go at night!

Salt River Fields Balloon Spooktacular: Unfortunately, due to the ‘vid; they are postponing this year’s events – much to my sadness.
Be sure to check back next year as I will update this post then! Fingers crossed they come back because I really enjoyed them and thought they gave families the most bang for their buck!

What other East Valley family friend fall events do you attend? Any that I missed that I should check out and add to our list!?
Leave me a comment to let me know!
